Club Car Vice President Talks Tariffs, New Products and More in News Broadcast

AUGUSTA, Ga. (16 April 2025) — Club Car®, a global leader in innovation and design for golf cars, low-speed utility vehicles, and personal-use transportation, is proud to announce that Mark Rickell, Vice President of Sales, has been featured on The Means Report, — an extended-format news broadcast recognised for its in-depth interviews with industry leaders.

In the segment, Rickell discussed the recent success of American manufacturers in the low-speed personal transport vehicle (LSPTV) industry, following their 2024 petition to the International Trade Commission (ITC) to address illegal dumping and subsidies on imported LSPTVs from China.

“We’ve been pursuing an equitable market with fair practices,” Rickell explained. “With our petition to the ITC [International Trade Commission] and [Department of] Commerce last year, we went after illegally subsidised products that were dumped into the U.S. market violating existing commerce and trade laws. We’ve seen success and now have to be vigilant as these companies try to evade the tariffs.”

During the interview, Rickell also previewed upcoming product developments — including new street-legal models — and spoke about The Club Car Difference in manufacturing quality, safety, and reliability that gives customers complete peace of mind.

“We build to automotive standards and have road load simulators that test every aspect of our products,” said Rickell of Club Car engineering and manufacturing processes. “If you put your family members into a vehicle, you want it to stop at the stop sign. That’s what we’re making sure happens.”

A highlight of the segment was an exclusive first look at the Onward LSV (available in U.S. and Latin American markets) and new Tempo upgrades — the latest additions to Club Car’s product line. These innovations reflect the company’s ongoing commitment to premium performance, modern design, and advanced technology to meet the evolving needs of both recreational and commercial users.

The segment concluded with a spotlight on the Club Car Championship at The Landings Golf & Athletic Club — a celebrated event on the Korn Ferry Tour, held from 3–6 April 2025.
