$1 million and counting
Club Car reaches milestone at 2019 United Way of the CRSA Charity Golf Classic
The 2019 Club Car and United Way of Central Savannah River Area (CSRA) Charity Golf Classic, held at Champions Retreat Golf Club in Augusta, Georgia, on June 3 drove more than just countless golf balls; it drove Club Car’s total fundraising tally over the $1 million mark since the inception of this fun event.
Eight years, and now more than $1 million later, Club Car is proud to be a sponsor and participant at the annual Charity Golf Classic. Designed to bring the community together for a good cause – namely fundraising that directly benefits the local area, the event has garnered financial backing for vital support services, programs and initiatives throughout the CRSA.
“And with nearly 220,000 local residents utilizing the assistance of one or more of the 40+ United Way CRSA-sponsored offerings, those funds are truly making an impact in peoples’ lives,” said Robert McElreath, Club Car United Way Golf Tournament sponsor.
The funds raised on the golf course through the years have contributed to everything from affordable housing to mental health, substance abuse support and counseling services.
