AUGUSTA, GA (Jan. 31, 2008) – As the world’s largest producer of electric vehicles, Club Car is displaying its commitment to environmental sensitivity with new decaling on 2008 model year utility vehicles equipped with the energy efficient IQ Plus drive system.
The new decal, which has the words “Zero Emission Vehicle” reversed out of a green leaf, appears on Club Car’s Carryall, Transporter and Villager lines of turf maintenance and transportation vehicles.
“Our customers in the golf industry have a vested interest in protecting the environment,” said Mike Packer, vice president of worldwide sales. “They’re looking for products that reduce the impact their facilities have on air quality, turf compaction and noise levels. We’re proud to provide those product alternatives and demonstrate our commitment to a greener environment.”
Electric vehicles with the efficient IQ Plus System provide a cleaner, quieter alternative to gas-powered vehicles without sacrificing the power needed to get the job done, according to Packer.
The new decal is symbolic recognition of Club Car’s role in parent company Ingersoll Rand’s “Progress is Greener” initiative.
