AUGUSTA, GA (July 2008) – Club Car, Inc. has announced that it will introduce a new series of XRT consumer utility vehicles this fall. The new XRT950 Series will offer an attractive utility vehicle option with an attractive price tag.
“Utility vehicles are one of the fastest growing markets in the powersports and ag segments,” said Matt Glendon, Consumer Category Manager for Club Car. “However, the cost of a quality utility vehicle is still out of the price range for many consumers. While they want a capable, comfortable vehicle, the price tag prohibits them from making the leap from an ATV to a UTV. We plan to change that with the XRT950 series.”
The XRT950 series offers three new vehicles with top performance, engineering and technology – all at a price that will appeal to consumers who may not want to purchase a full-size utility vehicle just yet. The three models include:
• XRT950 4x2 – A superior value. 480cc V-Twin, locking rear differential, 25” tires (25x9 front and rear), and more. MSRP $6,899
• XRT950 4x4 – An upgrade from the XRT950 4x2. Shift-on-the-fly 4x4, headlights standard, 25x11” tires rear. MSRP $7,599.
• XRT950 EX – Special 4x4 Value Package. Canopy top, fold-down windshield, full Bestop™ enclosure, rear receiver hitch, front tube bumper and shift-on-the-fly 4x4. MSRP $8,899.
These new utility vehicles boast 4-wheel hydraulic disc brakes, and put safety first – retractable seatbelts and a certified roll over protective structure come standard on each vehicle. Club Car’s XRT950 utility vehicles also offer superior torque, ground clearance, occupant room and bed box size in comparison to other vehicles in their class.
Optional accessories and add-ons include aluminum wheels, Realtree Hardwoods HD® front cowl, an affordable modular enclosure, a 2” front or rear receiver hitch, and 12V outlet and light packages.
Club Car will build XRT950s to order with no minimums or order periods for dealers. Vehicles will be shipped in the Club Car fleet roll-off fashion, ready for immediate sale.
