In an effort to demonstrate commitment to product innovation and solicit dealer feedback at the same time, Club Car showcased a concept vehicle for the company’s consumer utility vehicle group at the Dealer Expo in Indianapolis this year.
“Picture a vehicle that you can take out for a weekend outdoors with your buddies,” says Matt Glendon, product manager for consumer vehicles. “Now picture that same capable, rugged vehicle equipped with conveniences to make the weekend more enjoyable. That’s the premise of the vehicle.”
The “Weekend Concept” UTV features comfort items such as high-back, custom bucket seats unparalleled in current UTV offerings; a soft top and convertible doors that can be added or removed to protect against the elements; DVD/High Definition Entertainment with Marine-Grade stereo; and an attached grill - that’s a cooking grill! - so users can barbeque wherever their vehicle takes them.
Creature comforts aside, the UTV has rugged 28” tires with 14” alloy wheels and a full-size spare tire.
The concept vehicle was developed in-house by Club Car Custom Solutions, a group devoted to customizing all Club Car products.
